Chamos project example

A kitchen ceiling,
repaired and refreshed.

A moisture-damaged ceiling and a refreshed kitchen, documented in Chamos’s existing project photographs.

A Chamos Texturing project guide · Updated
Before: moisture-damaged kitchen ceiling with cabinets and walls protected
Before: the ceiling under preparation, with neighbouring surfaces covered.
After: repaired and refinished ceiling above the kitchen
After: the completed kitchen view and refreshed ceiling.

The original Chamos portfolio presents these as a before-and-after pair. They were photographed from different positions.

What the photographs show

The preparation photograph shows the ceiling area under repair and protection around cabinets and walls. The completed view shows the ceiling in the context of the kitchen. Together, they explain why ceiling work involves both the damaged surface and the room around it.

Planning a similar repair

For a leak-related project, resolve the source and have the affected area assessed and dry before cosmetic repairs. Then establish the drywall work, surface preparation, finish and painting area. A local patch and a whole-ceiling refinish can involve different scopes; discuss the surrounding light and coatings before deciding.

Describe your own ceiling

Send Ronald a room-wide photograph and a close-up of the damage, approximate dimensions and what caused it. Mention plumbing or electrical work that still needs access. The ceiling repair and drywall repair pages explain the next questions to consider.

Use the ceiling cost and quote guide to compare scope, or request an estimate for your ceiling. Explore the full project gallery for more photographs and original videos.
